FRANKIE GARCIA III

I am a self taught artist, originally from Southern California, but raised in the inner city of Dallas. I am a philanthropist, creative director, and interior designer. I've been on the design team at Rutherford’s Designs and have worked and exhibited at The Nasher Sculpture Center.

I've participated in approximately 30 exhibitions in the past 12 years. Including:
-ONE RED DOT, a Jackson Ivey Jackson production
-ROOM WITH A VIEW, a collaborative exhibition with Mikki Mallow and Bob Poe
-Exhibited twelve works at the Nasher Sculpture Center.
-YOUR ELEMENT, a D Magazine partnered event
-Directed The 20th Annual Obelisk Awards Gala for the NTBCA (North Texas Business for Culture and the Arts), which I collaborated with fellow artist and creative director, Zach Saucedo
-BLACK, a collaborative exhibition with Zach Saucedo at Hal Samples Gallery

Additionally, I've donated artworks to the Troy Aikman & Emmit Smith Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, numerous private school auctions and I'm currently working with the DCAC (Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center) and the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, Collin County Chapter.

I find my inspiration from artists such as Egon Shielle, Modigliani, Robert Motherwell, Richard Serra, Isamu Noguchi, Charles Eames and artists associated with Peggy Guggenheim’s abstract expressionist movement.

My style is abstract constructivism and I use numerous elements in my work: canvas, metals, wood, paper, mixed media, and an array of industrial hardware. My art work incorporates strong lines and bold colors with the use of geometric shapes and circles of union which work together to create my signature visual experience.

Creating and designing environments for residential and commercial spaces that implement the local arts, are a passion and specialty of mine. I'm excellent at creating color pallets and at developing concepts for large production events that require intricate installations. I'm currently working with several local artists in the Dallas community who firmly believe in the importance of supporting and uniting the local arts so as to create awareness of how important they are to every community.
